Books that Inspire

I am often asked for book recommendations for random topics so I thought I would share with all.

For some reason, I have never been able to get into fiction. I love learning things about the world and tangible skills that I can acquire by learning from others, so I stick to non-fiction books on professional & personal development. Here is a list of some of the books in my library related not only to social change and nonprofits, but also to personal development and things I am passionate about. Some of them were recommended to me, some of them came from Amazon suggesting them based on my past purchases or Audible (I only have a few audiobooks, I am not high-tech yet) having a sale, and just ones that sounded cool to me. Hope you enjoy!

Nonprofits & Social Change:

A few that are currently still on my list to read (some recommended by wonderful people):

  • Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future by Peter Thiel
  • Eat Move Sleep by Tom Rath
  • The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs by Carmine Gallo
  • I Don’t Know by Leah Hager Cohen
  • The Non Nonprofit by Steve Rothschild
  • Everyone Leads: Building Leadership from the Community Up by Paul Schmitz
  • The White Mans Burden by William Easterly
